Jomeokee means “great guide” or “pilot” from the language of the Saura Indians, who once inhabited this scenic area. Jomeokee Campground offers beautiful campsites with various amenities and an incredible view of Pilot Mountain to end your day of exploration fireside with other adventurers.

Jomeokee Campground is the perfect basecamp for all the adventures the Yadkin Valley has to offer. We have an in house adventure outfitter service, Yadkin Valley Adventure, offering all-inclusive camping adventures. Leave your equipment at home and let YVA take of it all.

History

In 1970, Mr. Tom Jones converted his Dairy Farm into Jomeokee Campground, complete with over 70 tent camping spots. Lester Flatt purchased the Park in 1974, improvements included a newer stage and concession stand.

Jomeokee Park is a significant part of the area’s traditional music history, and over the years some of the best bluegrass acts in the region and country have played here.

E. Alan Pace purchased the Park from Mr. Lester in 1978, a year before Lester passed away. The Pace Family has owned the Park ever since.

Rates start at $22/night

  • Dispersed Camping Pass are sites meant for people coming in multiple cars and setting up multiple tents. Includes access to bathrooms/showers

  • Minimal sites without power or water. Includes access to bathrooms/showers.

  • Van/Truck Camping sites are just right for guest arriving and staying in a van or truck camper. Space too small for other vehicles.

    • Standard includes access to bathrooms/shower house and access to power & water near your site. Bring heavy duty extension cord and water hose. Standard Occupancy: 1 car, 2 adults, 2 children under 13

  • Premium includes excellent front row mountain views, access to bathrooms/shower house and shared power & water to your site.

    Premium sites are larger sites with views that can accommodate 2 cars, 4 adults and 4 children.

  • Group Includes a dedicated power and water pole, shelter, parking for 4 cars, excellent mountain views, access to bathrooms/shower house.

    Additional vehicles and campers allowed for a fee.

Parking for cars is directly across from your campsite. First come first served.

Jomeokee Campground Conduct

We do not have many rules. But the ones we do have mean a lot to us. Follow them and you’ll be alright.

  1. The Red House at the front of the campground is a private residence. Please drive slow when on campground property.

  2. Be Kind & Courteous to other Guests. If you have an issue, please call the number on the website.

  3. Quiet Hours are from 1100pm - 700am. Any people in the campground after 1100pm will be considered a paying guest.

  4. Do not move the picnic tables or fire rings. Each Standard & Premium Sites has their own table & ring. Minimal Sites share a common area. If you want to combine tables for large groups, please talk to us about reserving the shelter.

  5. Make sure your fire is cold, if it’s too hot to handle, it’s too hot to leave.

  6. Firewood is $12/ bundle, cash or charged to reservation(not guaranteed, text before arrival to confirm availability, please have exact change).
    To ensure availability for all campers, campsites are limited to purchase one bundle per day.
    Additional firewood can be purchased at the local gas station.

  7. No ATV’s, Mini bikes, electric bikes, golf carts, side by sides, motorized things allowed.

  8. Have fun while you’re with us.

    PET POLICY

  9. There are three dogs that live on the Property. Cindy the Border Collie, and Sofie and Bella the German Shepherds. They are allowed to roam free.

  10. Dogs are welcome, but aggressiveness toward other campers or other animals is subject to immediate removal from the property. NO QUESTION.

  11. Dogs must remain on leash while on property.

    REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

  12. We don’t charge extra for sunshine, so there’s no refund for rain.

  13. Cancellations are accepted.

    1.  100% refund within 24 hours of booking reservation. $10 processing fee

    2. 75% refund if canceled at least 14 days prior to reservation.

    3. No refund if canceled less than 13 days prior to reservation.
